Calibration and configuration of the SL-100 brake

The SL-100 brake calibration process is possible using the game manager. This is the simplest type of configuration, requiring no drivers or programs to be installed. It uses the default Windows functionality, which is the Game Manager.

The calibration settings you choose are saved in the system registers, not in the brake memory. For this reason, in some situations, there may be discrepancies, e.g. in the operation of LEDs, analog mode.

Performing calibration

To calibrate using the Game Manager, follow these steps:

1. Start your computer and then use the magnifying glass tool to search for and select the item named “Game Controllers”.

2. In the window that opens, you will see a list of all controllers that are connected to your computer (gamepads, steering wheels, joysticks). Your brake will also be visible on the list, as it is called “X4RACE Analog Handbrake”.

3. After selecting the brake position, click on the "Properties" option.

3. Click on the "Reset to Defaults" option and then launch the calibration configurator by clicking the "Calibrate" button. Scroll the window until you see the Z-axis calibration window.

4. Apply and release the brake lever several times, then complete the calibration.

Checking the calibration results

To verify the operation of the analog brake mode after calibration, follow these steps:

1. Launch "Game Controllers" and then select the brake and click on its properties. (Point 1-3 of performing calibration)

2. Go to the "Testing" tab

3. Pull the brake lever.

Engaging the lever on a calibrated brake should result in the Z Axis Slider moving to its full extent.

If after calibration the Z Axis slider does not reach level 0 you should:

1. Go to the "Settings" tab and click "Calibrate".

2. Click "Next" to scroll to the "Find the center point" step

3. Pull the lever back slightly and hold it in this position.

4. When the Axle Calibration window appears, pull the lever and hold it in this position.

5. Click "Next" and on the next wizard screen, click "Finish."

This way you will create a minimum dead zone and in the "Testing" tab the brake indicator will start from 0 and end with 100%.

If the effect when pulling the lever is different, recalibrate the device, if this does not bring the result - contact us.
