Read, Write, Reset

Read current settings

  1. Launch the Application: Start by running X4Race Tool v.2.0 on your computer.
  2. Select COM Port and connect to brake: In the opened window, select the appropriate COM port and click Connect. If you do not know which COM port to choose, see: Search and Connect - Pairing the brake with the program
  3. Click "Read": Once the connection is established correctly, click the "Read" button. The program will automatically read the current brake settings and fill in the fields in the settings panel.

Adjust parameters

  1. Change Settings: After reading the settings, you can change the brake parameters according to your preferences. Use the various options available in the program to adjust the braking effect to your needs.

Save your changes

  1. "Save" button: After making any changes, click the "Save" button. This action will confirm the modifications made and save them to the device's memory.

Attention

The settings are changed in live-update mode, which means that any modification of the settings in the program is immediately sent to the brake and you can immediately check the effect of its operation. This eliminates the need to click the "Save" button after each change.

We recommend using the "Save" button only after carefully entering the desired changes. It is a good idea to confirm the parameter settings before closing the program or before disconnecting the brake from the computer. This action ensures that you do not lose the entered settings.

Restart settings

  1. "Restart" button: The "Restart" function is used to restart the brake and re-engage it. Use this button when changing modes or in situations where the brake does not behave properly.

The Restart function works exactly the same as disconnecting and reconnecting the brake to the USB port.

Attention

The "Restart" button is especially useful when Changes in modes, because the drivers for Digital and Analog modes are loaded once during brake initialization at start.
