X4RACE Tool v.2.0 User Manual

Add-ons Panel - Custom Gameplay Settings

The Extras panel offers unique features that enhance your gaming experience. Below you will find a description of each option.

Panel Extras - Led, Failure, Start

LED - Personalize Lighting

If your brake is equipped with LEDs, you can manipulate them using the LED switch.

Failure - Raise the Challenge Level

If you like to challenge yourself, the “Breakdown” option may interest you. Activating this feature will cause the brake to periodically turn off, blocking its braking in the game. This option introduces an element of surprise and increases the level of difficulty.

Start function

The Start function works as a sort of "quick return" when the brake is released in analog mode. If the brake lever is pulled for a certain time, this function automatically turns off the analog return mode of the brake lever, simulating an immediate release as if we were pressing a button.

This is useful in situations requiring quick response and launch optimization.

Function configuration:

  1. In the “Add-ons” panel, select the “Start” option to run the feature.

  2. In the “Start Function” panel you will find two configuration sliders:

and. Activation time: Here you can set the time after which the Start function will be activated. Enter the appropriate value depending on your preferences.

    b. Analog mode shutdown range: This slider allows you to define the range at which the analog brake return mode will be disabled. The right slider defines the threshold for the Start function to engage, the left slider defines the threshold for the function to disengage.

How it works:

If the brake lever is pulled further than the threshold set with the right slider and for a longer time than specified with the “Activation time” slider, the Start function will be activated.

When you release the lever, you will see that it does not go analogously from 100% to 0%, but immediately jumps to 0%. This gives the effect of immediate brake release, thanks to which the car starts much faster or there is no braking effect when the lever moves back.

If the lever is in a position lower than the set range of the left slider, the function will be deactivated and the brake will remain in “standard” analog operation, i.e. there is a smooth transition from 0% to 100% braking force.

Additional tips

If you only want to use this feature at the start, adjust the time range using the “Activation time” slider to the initial countdown before the start, e.g. in a DIRT or WRC game.

Pulling the lever on the 100% in a time shorter than the one set with the “Activation time” slider will result in the Start function not being activated, i.e. the brake effect will remain analog (slower return).
